Startacus, the “self-start society", the go-to platform for the enterprising individual yesterday announced details for an end of year award to celebrate their most enterprising Self Starter of the Year.
Apart from the on and offline press, kudos and acclaimed title the award will give, the winner will be awarded with a prize of £1000 worth of tailored consumer market research, thanks to the partnership that Startacus has forged with Marketest, a leading UK Online Quantitative Market Research company, who work with pre-start up, start-ups and established businesses.
Alastair Cameron, Co-Founder of Startacus explained:
"When we launched our Self Starter of the Week award a few weeks ago it was because we recognised that pretty much every early stage start-up, entrepreneur, self-starter, loves to get a pat on the back, a mention and a bit of recognition for their big (or small) idea, their project or their business and all that they're doing.
This partnership with Marketest allows us to extend this opportunity, and to consider all weekly awardees for the Self Starter of the Year title and £1k prize."
Marketest have a wealth of experience and expertise in helping clients test their target market and Startacus - the self-start society is a fast growing go-to platform, community and virtual workspace for self starters, beginner and seasoned entrepreneurs alike, and Startacus hopes that this partnership, along with other link-ups they have planned over the next few weeks and months, will give extra credibility to this quickly establishing site.
Co-Founder of Startacus, Alastair goes on to explain how self starters can get involved:
"Firstly, to be considered for our weekly award you'll need to be an active Startacus member, highlight via your profile what you are up to and what you plan to do, and ideally get involved with Startacus chat and debate on Twitter and Facebook.
Then, at the end of the year, each awarded Startacus Self Starter of the Week will be asked to pitch to us in 200 words or less, why they should be considered for the Self Starter of the Year accolade and what they would use the £1k worth of consumer market research for.”
